Dr. Dana Okur is committed to providing first class dental care for her patients. She is passionate about keeping up to date with the latest technologies and procedures to ensure her practice remains at the forefront of dentistry. When she is not in the office, Dr. Okur can be found taking continuing education courses and seminars.
Dr. Okur graduated with a degree in Neurobiology and Physiology from the University of Maryland with honors. While attending the University of Maryland, Dr. Okur received the prestigious Howard Hughes Medical Institute Fellowship to study memory and learning in a neuroscience lab. During her time in the lab, she wrote and defended a thesis, and her research was published in the journal of Neuroscience.
Dr. Okur received her dental degree from the University of Maryland, where she was a member of several honor societies. After dental school, she moved to Philadelphia to complete a residency program at the Albert Einstein Medical Center. In additional to comprehensive dental care, Dr. Okur’s time at Einstein gave her experience with a Level 1 trauma emergency room, including managing facial trauma, swelling, and lacerations, as well as treating medically complex patients for dental clearance prior to medical surgeries.
Dr. Okur lives in Center City Philadelphia with her husband. She enjoys skiing, trying out new restaurants in the city, and traveling. She has already visited 25 countries!
