Endodontic Treatment

At Noble Dental, we provide endodontic (root canal) treatment to our patients using the latest scientifically proven technology.Root canal treatment is necessary when the nerve (pulp) of the tooth is damaged by injury or infected by deep cavities, when this occurs patients experience the classic toothache. Pain occurs because when a pulp is damaged or has died there is an increase blood flow and activity occurs in the tooth and this causes pressure to build. Pressure in a tooth cannot be relieved on its own and thus endodontic treatment is needed.

Endodontic treatment involves removing the damaged or dead pulp. The canal where the nerve was is then reshaped and filled with gutta percha, a rubber-like material, to prevent recontamination of the tooth. The tooth is then permanently sealed. If the infected pulp is not removed, pain, swelling and infection can spread to the bone around that tooth and other teeth which can cause damage to your adjacent teeth or cause the infected tooth to fall out. At Noble Dental we use rotary instruments and bioceramic endodontic filling materials for our endodontic treatment which is the latest proven technology.
